Rev. Julio Rios

Our Founder and Director, Rev. Julio Ríos Jr. was born on October 2, 1976 in the city of Rio Piedras located on the Island of Puerto Rico. He was born to humble parents Julio Ríos Sr. & Minerva Valentin. He has has two sister Vanessa Ríos-Reyes & Yesenia Ríos-Martinez, and brother Joel Ríos, plus four beautiful nephews; Jesiah Ríos, Rafael Reyes IV, Giovanni Reyes and Noelle Grace Martínez.

In November of 1978 the Rios-Valentin Family decides to leave Puerto Rico & relocate to the United States. They eventually settled down in Jersey City, NJ, shortly after moving there they began to visit the Christian Pentecostal Church in Hoboken, NJ, under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Juan A.Sanchez.

Ata very early age Pastor Rios was drawn to the ministry & to God’s calling in his life. He preached his 1st sermon at the age of 10 in a kids’ ministry service. During his time at the church in Hoboken, Pastor Ríos was very active. He taught, preached, ministered in the music & served the pastor & the church as a leader in various areas of the ministry.

In 1995, the Lord took him to the state of Florida where he continued to preach, be a leader within the church & assisted in the worship. Eventually he became one of the pioneers who assisted in the development of Latin American Pentecostal Council’s Youth Association in the state of Florida, which is still functioning & is progressing till this day.

In 2000, he returned to NJ & to his church in Hoboken, NJ. Here God continued to order his ways;he became a teacher within the Department of Education, he was a church musician, president of the church’s youth ministry. He also served regionally as Vice-President of the New Jersey North district where he oversaw and help develop the youth ministries of over 30 churches.

God continued to open doors as he founded the evangelistic ministry called Visionaries of Christ Ministries. This ministry was composed of singers, musician & various preachers. The ministry has travelled the United States, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico,Guatemala, and Nicaragua preaching, teaching and evangelizing thru the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In January of 2006, God then blessed him by opening an even greater door. At the age of 29, in the eve of celebrating his 7th year anniversary with Visionary of Christ Ministries the Lord called him to Pastor. For the glory of God, in September of 2007, Rev. Ríos completed his ministerial process and was ordained as a reverend.

Rev. Ríos has 20 years of leadership experience, 14 years of experience as a minister and 15 years of experience as an educator, in which we give God the Glory for all He has done, is doing and will continue to do within his life. God continued to open doors within the organization as he was recently appointed as the U.S. National President of the IDDPMI Ambassadors of Christ Youth Association.

Rev. Ríos is currently the Senior Pastor of the Potter’s Wheel located in Philadelphia, PA where we know God will continue to use him to expand God’s Kingdom for HIS Glory! AMEN
